Kenny, age 28
The morning of the surgery, I wasn’t too terribly concerned.
A friend drove me to the hospital, and, as I expected, the surgery went off without a hitch. At the end of the day, my friend picked me up and basically made sure that I was okay in my home.
I don’t like pain. Actually, I’m a wimp. Of course there was some pain with the surgery, but not what I expected—not half what I expected. I would say that I was medicated perfectly, and that made all the difference. It felt more like discomfort than pain.
