Mindfulness Meditation Intervention
Mindfulness meditation is a means of becoming better able to focus one’s attention on the present and accept experiences without judgment. Mindfulness is related to multiple favorable outcomes, including reduced stress and anxiety, improved psychological and social well-being and, among athletes, improved athletic coping skills and development and maintenance of optimal sport performance.
The “Mindfulness Meditation Intervention” is a multi-session workshop designed specifically for athletes. The presenter’s guide provides a step-by-step explanation of how to implement the intervention.
